KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Anthony Nunes is now on the cusp of achieving another milestone in his career when Patriarch provided him with his 999th winner in the second of 10 races a short while ago at Caymanas Park.
Owned by Elias Haloute, ridden by Robert Halledeen and going off as the 1-5 favourite, Patriarch had to fight all the way to hold off the sustained challenge of Zephyr (Tevin Foster) to claim the win in and Overnight Allowance for three-year-olds and up run over five furlongs round.
Zephyr was just a nose behind in second with Killer Bee in the third spot.
The final time was a relatively slow 1:01.0.
