KINGSTON, Jamaica – Conditioner Steven Todd saddled his 199th winner when his charge Papa Albert at odds of 4-5 easily obliged in the first of 10 races on the Caymanas Saturday (Jan 16) card.

Jockey Linton Steadman bided his time on Papa Albert as Balazo (Melissa Ward) coming from the outside draw shot off into the lead.

Entering the straight, Steadman quickly asked Papa Albert to challenge and the eight-year-old chestnut gelding swooped by fBalazo for a six-length victory.

Second went to 56-1 outsider Tradition with Ridewiththemob (Oshane Nugent) finishing third.

The win by Papa Albert was his 11th victory from 43 career starts.
