Old stager Phineas conjures a win in third, double for McGregor

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Ten-year-old dark brown gelding Phineas, showed that he still had some spunk left in him when he easily won the third race at Caymanas just moments ago.
Phineas who has campaigner in the top-class long ago raced today in a $450,000 - $400,000 claiming event for three-year-olds and upwards travelling a trip of 7 ½ furlongs.
Trained by Phillip Lee, Phineas who went off at odds of 2-1 defeated Luana (8-5) and Council of Trent (3-2). Phineas' victory gave apprentice Kiaman McGregor a double from three races on the day thus far.
The winning time posted by Phineas was 1:36.2.
