KINGSTON, Jamaica – Nuclear Noon, a three-year-old bay colt by Nuclear Wayne – Noon It Is, racing for the fifth time in his career made it career win number two with an eye-catching performance at six furlongs among three-year-old who are non-winners of two.

The race took a while to get underway due to unruly behaviour by several of the runners with some horses being taken out of the gates while others were left inside.

When the horses settled down, it was Mum (Aaron Chatrie) and Gentle Giant vying for the lead with Double Diva (Anthony Thomas) the 1-9 favourite and Nuclear Noon (Robert Halledeen) close by.

Running for the first time under the care of champion trainer Anthony Nunes, Nuclear Noon and Halledeen wasted no time to sweep by horses navigating the four-furlong bend.

In the straight, Nuclear Noon galloped resolutely and was not seriously challenged, winning by 1 ¾ lengths over Double Diva (second) with King’s Magician third.
