KINGSTON, Jamaica – The recent noticeable form of apprentice Roger Hewitt continued in today’s (Sept 19) sixth race at Caymanas Park.

Mount Zion King trainer by Owen Dawes stuck behind the early leader Parajet as the horses came down the five straight course while racing in a Claiming ($180,000 - $150,000) contest for five-year-olds and upwards.

With both horses racing close to the stand rails it was Mount Zion King and Hewitt who broke the deadlock pulling away to win convincingly.

Synchronize came on strong in the final yardage to nab second from Cat’s Rigger.

This was the first winner for Dawes in quite a while.
