KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Anthony Thomas and trainer Jason DaCosta joined forces to achieve another winner, this time it was Miniature Man at searing odds of 27-1 in the just run Caymanas Saturday ninth. The three-year-olds raced over one mile.

Considered to be more of the sprinting variety, Miniature Man raced in mid-pack in seventh place as the speedsters True Al Sky and Jahsendblesssings contested for supremacy on the front end with the only foreigner in the race Awesome Liz (Omar Walker) closely tracking the leaders.

Awesome Liz made her move leaving the three-furlong marker with Miniature Man starting to pick off rivals one by one at the same time.

In the straight, it was Awesome Liz who took over and looked set to shed the maiden tag in her second racing effort but Thomas got Miniature rolling and the gelding went by a fading Awesome Liz to score by 1 ¾ lengths. Third was Daddy Jones (Paul Francis).

The win by Miniature Man gave Thomas his third on the day, while it was the second for DaCosta.
