KINGSTON, Jamaica – The second event on Sunday, December 11, 2022, is for two-year-old maidens at four furlongs straight.

Of the seven declared to run, six are first-time starters, with Milos the only one to face the starter below.

This race is the Staters’ Trophy.

The Quick Galloper’s analysis is given below.

1 – SAVVY GIRL is a bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Runallday trained by Anthony Nunes with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. Morning exercise workout onlookers say that this filly is a good one in the making but not quite ready for a winning effort, especially with her stablemate, Milos. Savvy Girl looks like the choice for the exacta. Note, Savvy Girl races with the tongue tie and first-time Lasix.

2 – ANSWER MY PRAYERS is a bay filly (May 24) by Casual Trick out of Great Faith trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins in the saddle. This first-timer enters the racing fray having caught the eyes of railbirds in the mornings. Said to be of some quality, and is expected to provide the main competition to the duo of Milos and Savvy Girl. Note, Great Faith has already produced Great Trick.

3 – CITY HAWK is a bay filly (February 28) by Midnight Hawk out of Magic City trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster aboard. Another from the barn of champion trainer Anthony Nunes, who is progressing well. Said to be of some ability and is expected to put in a favourable effort.

4 – JUST HAVE FUN is a grey filly (May 10) by Midnight Hawk out of Iamallaboutthebest trained by Gary Subratie with Conrod Ellis in the saddle. Based on exercise reports should not be effective in this one. Iamallaboutthebest has already produced Love Dub.

5 – DIGITAL LIGHT is a bay filly (January 14) by Wannabeaplayer out of Morning Grace trained by Gary Griffiths with Christopher Mamdeen aboard. Digital will start her learning curve. Note, Morning Grace has already produced Rising Power, Flying Machine, and Gorgeous Gift.

6 – TOKILLAMOCKINGBIRD is a bay colt (March 6) by Lion Tamer out of Newton’s First Law trained by Marlon Anderson with Abigail Able aboard. Cannot be given any real chance of winning this one.

7 – MILOS is a bay colt (March 31) by Casual Trick out of The Vibes Lady trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis aboard. One of the seven entered to have raced before. Milos showed up on his debut and should overwhelm these. Note, The Vibes Lady has already produced Lady Blue and Fearless Vibe.
