KINGSTON, Jamaica – There seems to be no way to stop leading rider, Christopher Mamdeen.
The young man accomplished yet another triple after he guided the Spencer Chung trained Chief of State to victory in the ninth of 13th races on the Saturday card at Caymanas Park just moments ago.
Chief of State who won at odds of 9-5 was winning his second consecutive race.
Second was the 2-1 chance Lala Diva with third going to Nuclear Thunder at odds of 19-1.
Mamdeen has now ridden a total of 35 winners in 2019 to lead in the jockeys’ championship over colleague apprentice Reyan Lewis on 31 winners.
Chief of State won a Restricted Allowance event for four-year-olds and upwards – non winners of two going a trip of six furlongs.
The race was hampered by the late scratch of three of the morning line favourites, Kappone, Young Boy Eddy and Lovely Day, the latter taken out at the gates.
