KINGSTON, Jamaica – The trend of odds of favourites winning thus far on the Sunday card at Caymanas came to an end but only just as second favourite Mamacita won the event by a length.
Starting at odds of 2-1, Mamacita, ridden by Dane Nelson and trained by Ryan Darby kept with the early pace setters.
The race then turned out to be a battle between Mamacita and Big Dream (Trevor Simpson) in the final furlong with the former winning in the end. Big Dream was second and Chrisanli third.
