LOVE DUB STARTS CAYMANAS SATURDAY (JULY 23) AT 9-5

Love Dub - Dane Dawkins
KINGSTON, Jamaica – There seems to be no stopping jockey Dane Dawkins these days. After a flourishing four-timer on the last race day, Dawkins returned on the Gary Subratie-trained Love Dub to win the Caymanas Saturday (July 23) first at odds of 9-5.
The Caymanas (July 23) first event was a three-year-old maiden call at 5 ½ furlongs.
It was another of Dawkins’ controlled saddle efforts as after coming round from the outside draw in the field of 12 horses, he chose to stay behind the early pacesetters Manaco (Tevin Foster) and Northern Lady (Raddesh Roman).
Northern Lady won the battle on the front end to enter the straight on top with Dawkins bringing Love Dub on the outside.
With a furlong and a half left in the contest, Love Dub accelerated to flash by all going on to win with ease by 5 ¾ lengths. Jungle Boogie (Dick Cardenas) came on to grab second from Northern Lady.
This maiden win for Love Dub came after five career starts.
