KINGSTON, Jamaica – With both the top riders Dane Nelson and Anthony Thomas not riding today, in form apprentice Oshane Nugent used the opportunity to guide the Nicholas Smith trained Locomotive to victory in the first of 11 races on the Caymanas Sunday (December 27) offering.

It was an easy outing for Locomotive who went off at even money as all Nugent had to do was keep five-year-old gelding on a straight path, which he did without any fuss.

Sweet Destiny was second with Cruising Motion filling the third slot.

Locomotive was winning for the fifth time from 34 career starts and trainer Smith was saddling his third winner in 2020.
