KINGSTON, Jamaica – After encountering traffic problems, the Wayne DaCosta trainee, Lady Blue under a determined ride by Omar Walker was able to burst through two horses in the last half-a-furlong of the 6 ½ furlongs event to win the O & S Tack Room Trophy at Caymanas Park moments ago.

The trophy race, a Restricted Stakes, saw foreigner Bold Aflair setting a warm pace with Top Self (Hakeem Pottinger), Lady Blue and Roy Rogers (Samantha Fletcher) trailing behind.

In the straight, Bold Aflair was challenged by Top Self, with Lady Blue trying her best to find a path between these two with 1-2 favourite Universal Boss (Reyan Lewis) mounting a challenge on the outside.

With Walker pressing hard, Lady Blue found her way to win by just half-a-length over Top Self. Universal Boss was third.

Lady Blue provided Walker and DaCosta with a double on the day.
