KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was another close finish in the third of 10 races at Caymanas Park today involving Dane Nelson but this time his nemesis was Paul ‘Country’ Francis.

Again Nelson riding Purple Wayne (7-2) had to settle for second place as Francis pushing hard got Big Bang (4-5) to the winning post by three-parts of a length in the Restricted Allowance contest run over nine furlongs and 25 yards.

Raw Liquid (Javaniel Patterson) set off in the lead going around the first turn and held that position coming down the backstretch.

Leaving the half-mile pole, Fresh Cash (Omar Walker 3-1) went by Raw Liquid and then tried to steal the show entering the straight with a clear advantage.

Fresh Cash started to pack the gallop with a furlong to go with Big Bank on the outside and Purple Wayne in between horses mounting their challenges.

With both horses close to each other, it was Big Bang who got the win over Purple Wayne. Fresh Cash was third.

The winning time for the Anthony Nunes trained Big Bang was 1:56.4.
