KINGSTON, Jamaica – After returning from an injury approximately two months ago, apprentice Oshane Nugent finally found a leg aboard a winner. That winner was the Ian Parsard trained Father Patrick in the Caymanas Monday eighth.

Father Patrick’s win came in the Lady Geeta Trophy (six furlongs) at the Open Allowance/Graded Stakes level for horses three-year-old and upwards.

The early pace was fast (22.4 x 45.4), set by Father Patrick with Deep Blue Sea (Dick Cardenas) hounding on the outside.

Then in the straight it was not a race as Father Patrick showed his class by skittering away for a notable 2 ¾ length victory in a final time of 1:13.0.

Eroy (Anthony Thomas) was second and Double Crown third.
