KINGSTON, Jamaica – The winning run of trainer Gregory Forsyth in 2021 continued in the Caymanas Saturday third with the victory by JamalJames ridden by Anthony Thomas in a three-year-old and upwards Claimer ($250,000 - $200,000) travelling six furlongs.
Thomas kept JamalJames on the outside close to Paintthistownred (Dane Dawkins) who set the early fractions. Thomas then asked JamalJames to go leaving the three furlong point and the six-year-old chestnut gelding responded by taking over on the front end entering the last two furlongs.
Although veering off a straight course, JamalJames was still able to achieve his fourth career win.
For trainer Forsyth, JamalJames was his seventh winner in 2021.
