KINGSTON, Jamaica – K D Flyer once again demonstrated his perpetual likeness for the five straight with a convincing victory over the distance just moments ago with Dane Dawkins, the regular rider of K D Flyer in the saddle.
This was K D Flyer’s fourth win in his last seven starts, all of which took place down the five straight.
After the race trainer of the five-year-old dark bay horse, Gary Subratie said: “Today despite the weight K D Flyer won again over the straight course, a course he well and truly loves. Truthfully, all the stars were aligned for him as he got the best draw, number 11, and he made good use of it. A very nice horse to train, quiet and without any fuss.”
K D Flyer ended this Overnight encounter in a time of 59.3.
Second went to Lottery Ticket (Omar Walker) with Hilly’s Halo third. Hilly’s Halo was the 2-5 favourite and was seen darting a to the right during the last two furlongs.
The race was named in honour of former champion jockey, Shane Ellis.
