Itiz What Itiz closes natural hattrick for the trainer

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Gary Subratie saddled his 700th career winner when his charge Itiz What Itiz (Dane Dawkins) closed a natural hattrick for the conditioner. That natural hattrick was the first three races on the Caymanas Saturday (January 8) card.

Starting the day with 697 wins, Subratie won the first with T Brady, then came Blood Fire in the second and then the topping on the cake, Itiz What Itiz.

After a slow start when the gates opened, Dawkins was patient and gently guided Itiz What Itiz through the field on the inside rails as Bunksy Boy (Dane Nelson) set the early fractions with Silver Fox (Daniel Thompson) close by.

Racing in fourth place, turning for home, still on the inside, Dawkins waited as his path was initially blocked by Bunksy Boy, who was then involved in a dog fight with Silver Fox. Then the opening came and Itiz What Itiz gathered momentum to win by 1 ½ lengths.

Bunksy Boy was second and Chromatica third.

Itiz What Itiz provided owner the Success Farms with a second winner on the day having scored earlier with T Brady.

Itiz What Itiz won a four-year-old maiden special weight contest going seven furlongs.
