KINGSTON, Jamaica – Hover Craft defied all of his 11 years to score a scorching victory in the Caymanas Sunday seventh.
Ridden by Anthony Thomas and trained by Wayne DaCosta, Hover Craft was unusually early as he sat just off the early pace set by Top Shelf (Omar Walker) and Tricky One (Dane Nelson) then with about 3 ½ furlongs left to go Thomas made a sweeping move to hit the front entering the final two furlongs of the straight.
Hover Craft now in his 'ackee' sailed away from the rest to win by all of 17 lengths.
Drone Strike came on for second with Chinamax third.
Hover Craft was recording his 19th victory from 126 career starts.
