KINGSTON, Jamaica – Helicopter, owned, bred and trained by Gordon Lewis blew the rafters off the Park in the Caymanas Saturday eighth winning at swirling odds of 46-1.

That third career win by Helicopter ridden by Chalrick Budhai was achieved in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of three) call at 5 ½ furlongs.

Helicopter came out of the gates slowly but Budhai did not panic allowing his mount to settle as the likes of Ocean Wave (Dick Cardenas) and Voytex set the early splits.

Helicopter entered the straight on the rails in third to last place in the filed of 10 still well off then leader Voytex, with KD Rocket (Dane Dawkins) and Elitist (Anthony Thomas) throwing down their respective challenges.

Then Helicopter lifted off running between horses to win without any fuss.

KD Rocket and Elitist ended in a dead heat for second.
