KINGSTON, Jamaica – God of Love returned to winning ways with a performance to savour in the Caymanas Monday nightcap.
With accustomed rider Dane Nelson in the saddle for trainer Fitzgerald Richards, God of Love latest success came at the Overnight Allowance level (three-year-old and upwards) travelling 5 ½ furlongs.
Speedy American bred mare Victory Turn shot off in front followed closely by God of Love.
Near to the turn for home Nelson decided that enough was enough and pushed God of Love to the front and the five-year-old bay gelding responded by streaking away to a victory by 5 ½ lengths.
The final time was recorded at 1:06.2.
Laban (Dane Dawkins) ran on for second with Universal Boss (Phillip Parchment) finishing third.
