Genuine “A” Class horse Toona Cilita overcomes 130 lb to win Caymanas eighth race

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Toona Ciliata (Soul Warrior – Red Gold) defied the odds of shouldering 130 lb to give a truly wonderful display in the eighth of 11 races on the Saturday (July 11) card at Caymanas Park.
Under strong handling from Dane Nelson in the final furlong and a half on the inside rails, Toona Ciliata quickened impressively to catch long-time leader Patriarch (Oshane Nugent 3/1) while holding the challenge of stablemate Prince Charles.

Toona Ciliata was winning his second consecutive race for champion trainer Anthony Nunes.

The winning time was 1:19.2 and the winning margins 1 ½ by three lengths.
