KINGSTON, Jamaica – Lava Boy flowed easily from the three-furlong marker to snatch the lead which he never gave up to win the Caymanas Saturday tenth.

This win by Lava Boy in a four-year-old and upwards (non-winners of two) contest run over 5 ½ furlongs gave his trainer Gary Subratie and jockey Tevin Foster their second winner on the 10-race card.

Once Lava Boy went in front the only challenge came from Sniper Man (Dane Nelson) but that effort petered out in the last furlong. Danny Spud (Dane Dawkins) running on was third.
