KINGSTON, Jamaica - LEGIT Boss, who triumphed in the Pick3 Super Challenge Trophy, and Mamma Mia, winner of the Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy, will lock horns once more as they lead the battle for juvenile supremacy in a field of 10 in the Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) Jamaica Two-Year-Old Stakes. This race is set to be contested on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, going a mile.

Below is the analysis of each runner.

  1. ANONYMOUS: (2 b c by Lion Tamer – Eighteen Karat) – Was an easy 8 ¾-length winner over 6½ furlongs (1,300m) on December 18. Anonymous should be fighting for the spoils.
  1. UNCHARTER: (2 b c by Hedge Fund – Little Gidding) – The Andrew HB Aguilar Memorial Cup should have been his but he had traffic problems and was not able to give of his best. Uncharter finished third by 8 1/2 lengths behind All For Love and Rhythm Buzz over Tuesday’s distance. Even though All for Love is present here, Uncharter should have a hand in the outcome of this race after ending just two lengths adrift in third place behind Legit Boss and Mamma Mia in the Pick 3 Super Challenge Trophy on November 26. Uncharter is the only maiden in this race. Note, Uncharter races with the blinkers off.
  1. ALL FOR LOVE: (2 ch f by Nuclear Wayne – Princess Sallema) – Easily brushed aside rivals to win the Andrew HB Aguilar Memorial Cup on December 17. While that was an improved effort from All of Love she faces a tougher task here and should be left alone.
  1. SHOW GIRL: (2 b f by Northern Giant – Thegirlnextdoor) – A winner on last who is going to find repeating a tall order.
  1. BURLAP: (2 b c by Casual Trick – Fedora) – Made a successful debut when winning the $1.25-million “Run for the Rock” Trophy over 6 furlongs on December 3. Although the winning time of 1:08.0 was not impressive, Burlap showed enough promise to suggest that he will not be disgraced against there. Note, races with first-time Lasix user.
  1. THALITA: (2 ch f by Soul Warrior – Luminous Trieste) – Finished fourth in the Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy over 6 furlongs on October 29. That effort by Thalita can be disregarded especially with the trip more to her liking. Note, Thalita races with the tongue tie off.
  1. SHE’SMYHEDGEFUND: (2 ch f by Hedge Fund – Thisgirlisonfire) – Has no realistic chance of winning.
  1. LEGIT BOSS: (2 b f by Casual Trick – Bilingual) – Surprised runners when she came off the pace to win the Pick3 “Super Challenge” Trophy over 7 furlongs on November 26 by 2½ lengths. Legit Boss has looked sweet in the mornings, and if she can reproduce the Pick3 effort then she can surely be unsaddled in the winners’ enclosure when this race is over.
  1. MAMMA MIA: (2 ch f by Soul Warrior – Princess Geeta) –Had her winning streak broken by Legit Boss in the Pick3 “Super Challenge” Trophy over 7 furlongs on November 26. Despite the longer trip, Mamma Mia has been working well and is bred to go a distance, so she will not go down easily in a bid for top honours.
  1. MOJITO: (2 ch c by Savoy Stomp – Fiftyshadesofray) – After being beaten twice by Mamma Mia, Mojito returned as an easy winner of 6½ lengths in the BGLC/TOBA Jamboree Sprint going 6 furlongs on November 12. Mojito has shown in his gallops that one mile should not be a problem for him and that he can turn the tables on Mamma Mia and also beat the rest. Mojito has been preparing well for this trophy race and with a six-week break, he looks like a strong contender for top honours.
