KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three-year-old Further and Beyond (Linton Steadman) racing outside of his age group for the first time at the Overnight level delivered a performance of significant note to win the Caymanas Monday eighth at 7 ½ furlongs.

Trained by champion Anthony Nunes, Further and Beyond (Blue Pepsi Lodge – Rumble) after being prominent in all his Classic races was settled easily by Steadman in about fifth place close to Excessive Force (Oneil Mullings) as the likes of Roy Rogers (Nicholas Hibbert), Jamai Raja (Matthew Bennett), Primal Fear (Oshane Nugent), and Fearless Champion (Anthony Thomas) mixed it up at the head of the pack.

Excessive Force after leaving the four-furlong marker made a sharp move on the outside and that as when Steadman decided to push Further and Beyond.

Turning for home both Excessive Force and Further and Beyond were on the outside with the latter gathering momentum, speeding away with destructive force to win easing down by 8 3/4 lengths in a fast time of 1:31.4.

Excessive Force was second with the third slot occupied by Uncle Frank (Phillip Parchment).

This was the sixth victory for Further And Beyond from 11 career starts.
