KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Matthew Bennett was finally able to win his first race in 2019.

Bennett guided the Johnny Wilmot trained Miss Linda Wray to victory in the fourth race at Caymanas Park on today’s (August 17) card. The event was a Restricted Allowance V for four-year-olds - non-winners of two run over 7 ½ furlongs.

Bennett wisely held the 6-1 shot Miss Linda Wray off the hot pace set by Kingswood (Shavon Townsend).

Entering the straight Kingswood was way ahead but after setting such a blistering pace, Kingswood started to falter and was gobbled up by Bennett and Miss Linda Wray. Third went to Qoura (Aaron Chatrie) at odds of 18-1.
