Fake News gives trainer Wayne DaCosta a double

KINGSTON, Jamaica –  Fake News ridden by Phillip Parchment came with a searing run in deep stretch to win the fifth race of 11 on the holiday Ash Wednesday card at Caymanas Park.

The contest was for three-year-old maidens run over a distance of five furlongs round.

Trained by Wayne DaCosta, Fake News was taken off the splits set by Double Jeopardy (Omar Walker 3/5).

In the final two furlongs Double Jeopardy was in front by two to three lengths but Parchment as bustling as ever got Fake News going and the bay colt got into high gear winning impressively by over five lengths.

Double Jeopardy was second with Gypsy Jam third.

This was the second winner on the day for trainer DaCosta who scored earlier with Rojorn di Pilot.
