Even money Mansur Musur gets Caymanas Saturday (June 12, 2021) underway

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Mansur Musur trained by Errol Pottinger with Dane Dawkins in the saddle got punters off to a safe start winning the Caymanas Saturday first (June 12, 2021) at even money.

Racing for the 15th time, Mansur Musur won for the first time in a five-year-old and upwards, maiden contest at 5 ½ furlongs.

It was Northern Ridge (Dick Cardenas) running at odds of 5-2 who quickly established herself as the leader coming from the outside draw.

Northern Ridge was followed by Mansur Musur and Little Red (Natalie Berger). Approaching the turn for home Mansur Musur made his made and was almost level with Northern Ridge entering the straight.

Thereafter, Mansur Musur pulled away to win by five lengths. Northern Ridge was second and The Final Blue after a poor start finished third.

Trainer Pottinger was winning for the second time this season.
