KINGSTON, Jamaica – As was expected the Overnight nightcap on the mid-week card turned out to be a cracker, as Dysfunctional under superb guidance from veteran jockey Oneil “Lester Piggott” Mullings stormed away in rainy conditions to win the one-mile event.

Several horses were vying for the lead at the off but it then worked out to be contest involving Uncle Vinnie and Drummer Boy.

Fayrouz was kept on the outside in close touch and actually took over the lead when the horses entered the straight. It was then that Mullings asked Dysfunctional to run and run the bay gelding did, pulling off to score by 3 ½ lengths over Uncle Vinnie with Fayrouz third.

Marquesas making a return to competitive racing after a long break was never in the mix.
