KINGSTON, Jamaica – Duke, a five-year-old grey horse by Casual Trick – Lady Macbeth elevated his royal position to that of Prince - the Caymanas Park-  Prince of Sprint with his best ever effort when winning the Port Royal Sprint, which was an Open Allowance | Graded Stakes contest travelling six furlongs.

When the gates opened, favourite She’s A Wonder (Anthony Thomas), and Father Patrick (Dick Cardenas) were slowly away allowing Victory Turn (Javaniel Patterson) to set the splits.

Surprisingly, Duke ridden by Robert Halledeen and trained by Gary Subratie, was a close second, but when the horses were about to enter the straight for the final push, Duke was all alone as Victory Turn dropped out, plus there were no challengers in view.

Galloping resolutely Duke won by 2 ¾ lengths to notch his third win in a row. Father Patrick ended in second place with Rojorn Di Pilot third.

The splits were 22.2 for the first two furlongs and 45.1 for four furlongs. The final time was 1:12.0.
