KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Trevor “Slicer” Simpson after being pipped on the line by apprentice Tevin Foster on Sweetie Girl was still able to register win number two on the 10-race mid-week card at Caymanas Park a short while ago.
Foster and Sweetie Girl were disqualified for an incident shortly after the start of the six and a half furlongs event which caused horse number 2 Evasive Action to fall along with jockey, Daniel Satchell.
Simpson was engaged in a fierce battle with his mount Astro trained by Wilfred Chin and Twilight Heroine ridden by Robert Halledeen only to be caught on the line by Sweetie Girl.
Twilight Heroine was second with third going to Mistrial.
