KINGSTON, Jamaica – Don Almighty, who showed promise as a three-year-old but was unable to show his true worth due mainly to injuries, finally as a five-year came good when he won the Caymanas Friday fifth at starting odds of 9-5.

That victory came in a five-year-old and upwards Restricted Allowance contest at 5 ½ furlongs.

Don Almighty with Linton Steadman in the saddle for trainer Junior Small, raced with the visor off, and was kept off the front end as Casual Charm took off in front tracked the likes of Nez Perce, Adwa and Hecandance.

It was anybody’s race when they turned for home but Steadman took Don Almighty way wide for his run and came home an easy winner by three lengths.

Second was Hecandance with Bloodfire who was having his first outing in 17 months third.
