KINGSTON, Jamaica – Better known for her speed, the Donovan Plummer trained chestnut mare Denbigh Life came from off the pace this time to capture the Caymanas Saturday fourth, which was for five-year-olds and upwards (non-winners of three).

Ridden by Roger Hewitt, Denbigh Life was slowly out of her starting stall but was ridden hard to be third rounding the bend in this six-furlong contest behind Thepowersthatbe (Tevin Foster) and the 1-5 favourite Don Almighty (Linton Steadman).

Going wide when entering the straight, Denbigh Life was kept going hard by Hewitt as they had to stave off the persistent Don Almighty in a stirring last furlong duel with Denbigh Life winning by a nose.

Third was Sweet Surprise.

After the searing upset at 21-1 by Deep Blue Sea in the third and the fall of Don Almighty in the fourth, only 10 live tickets are left in the Reggae-6.
