KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a hard-fought and exciting stretch run, jockey Omar Walker using all his guile and experience got up with Dejae’s Boy to achieve victory in the Caymanas Tuesday third at pulsating odds of 11-1.

From the starter let them go, a battle for the headlines ensued with No Work Permit (Tevin Foster) and Let Him Fly (Dane Nelson) vying for the ascendency with Big Big Daddy (Dane Dawkins) watching from nearby.

Let Him Fly got the better of that duel but no sooner then he did, Big Big Daddy pounced to take over entering the straight with Fearless Champion (Anthony Thomas) on the outside and Dejae’s Boy making headway on the inside.

Big Big Daddy and Fearless Champion were locked together but just when many thought one of those two would eventually win, Walker brought Dejae’s Boy through to nip Big Big Daddy by a short-head with Fearless Champion a further neck behind in the third slot.

Dejae’s Boy who is trained by Ian Parsard clocked 1:33.3 for 7 ½ furlongs in the four-year-old and upwards non-winners of four offering.
