KINGSTON, Jamaica – Even a slow start could not hinder jockey Dane Nelson winning the third race atop Pure Heart for red-hot trainer Patrick “Wacky” Lynch.

That victory was achieved in the Caymanas Saturday third which was a Restricted Allowance contest for five-year-olds – non winners of two – going five furlongs round.

Nelson pushed the slow starting Pure Heart along the rails as Congrats Suckie and Estalita vied for the advantage up front.

In the straight, Nelson had little to do as Pure Heart ran away from rivals to score his second career victory.

With that victory Nelson has now reduced the lead of Anthony Thomas in the race for jockeys’ honours to three.
