KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Dane Nelson got his second winner on the day aboard the Clifford Atkinson Jr trained Lightning McQueen in the Caymanas Tuesday sixth.

That event was the Emancipation Day Trophy – a three-year-old and upwards claiming ($750,000 - $600,000) race run over 6 ½ furlongs.

It did not take Lightning McQueen long to take control of this event establishing a big lead to enter the straight far ahead of the rest.

Then with a furlong to go, Lightning McQueen started to fold and in doing so began drifting to the outside of the track as Azaria (Dick Cardenas) gained ground rapidly on the inside rails.

In a driving finish, Lightning McQueen got home by a nose.

Garrincha (Shavon Townsend) was third.
