Dane Nelson cuts into Anthony Thomas’ lead as Black Royalty wins Caymanas Saturday (Dec 19) second

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Dane Nelson show got rolling in the Caymanas Saturday (Dec 19) second as Black Royalty turned out to be an easy winner.

It was really not a race as Black Royalty was kept off the front end by Nelson before sweeping by all at the top of the lane.

Black Royalty trained by Steven Todd was winning for the first time from 36 starts.

Second was Vodka (Hakeem Pottinger) with third going to  Stacyslady (Samantha Fletcher).

Nelson who started the day on 79 wins is now only four wins behind leader Anthony Thomas (80 wins) in the race for jockeys’ championship honours.
