KINGSTON, Jamaica – The one-mile Overnight Allowance Saturday (Dec 17) call has attracted eleven starters.

The Quick Galloper assesses the eleven horses entered in post-position order.

– MARQUESAS is rounding into some form of late, yet he is nowhere near his youthful years when highly competitive. Marquesas' best effort will produce another place on the board. Note, Marquesas races with the visor off.

– PRINCE MARSHALL is not expected to trouble the principals after two poor efforts. Can only hope to earn.

– CHINAMAX is still having to deal with acclimatizing to the harsh environment of Overnight Allowance. Chinamax will be running on for a minor place.

– POSITIVE ID has been earning his spurs in Overnight. He has shown the ability to run on, thereby, making a mile just right for his qualities. The change of riders from Jerome Innis to Reyan Lewis enhances the chance of Positive ID.

– CURLIN’S AFFAIR was not able to provide a threat when last at the races on November 12. If a fit and proper Curlin’s Affair emerge on Saturday, he will have a live shot.

– BLUE VINYL is slowly finding himself. Raced just six days ago (6 furlongs), not his ideal distance. Then, Blue Vinyl in an unaccustomed manner went to the front and was caught by I’ve Got Magic. That effort by Blue Vinyl can be considered as an exercise spin for Saturday’s one-miler. Blue Vinyl is getting back to his best but allowing weight to Crimson might prove his undoing. However, Blue Vinyl cannot be discounted. Note, Blue Vinyl races with the blinkers off.

– BIG BIG DADDY is staying around in Overnight while regularly earning for his connections.

– D HEAD CORNERSTONE is getting used to this grade. A winning run is not expected.

– PERFECT BREW was not able to give of his best in the Chairman’s Plate after bumping into Crimson. Will have to learn before winning in this grade.

– CRIMSON was knocked about in the Chairman’s Plate leading to the fall of his jockey. Crimson is coming down in class, he is primed for his Saturday run and is difficult to oppose.

– MIRABILIS has no chance whatsoever.
