KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Caymanas Tuesday (May 25) nine race card got off to a moderate start with Chief of State obliging at odds of 9-2.

Drawn at one with Youville Pinnock holding the reins, Chief of State trained by Renex Burrell won a three-year-old and upwards claiming call ($250,000 - $200,000) at four furlongs.

It was Just Trick Me (Samantha Fletcher) racing near the stand rails who led the pack while Pinnock was moving Chief of State from the inside draw closer to the preferred outside part of the racetrack.

In the final furlong, Just Trick Me started to fold quickly and it was then that Chief of State and Union made their moves with the former going on to win by a neck. The 4-5 on favourite Supreme Authority finished fourth.

This was career win number 5 from 20 starts for Chief of State, while for trainer Burrell it was his second from five starters this year.
