KINGSTON, Jamaica – Killer Bee earned his eighth career victory in workmanlike fashion when he staved off the challenge of Sir Puddington in the third event of nine on the Caymanas Saturday offering.

Ridden by outgoing champion Chris Mamdeen, Killer Bee trained by Rennex Burrell, was kept behind leader Sir Puddington (Oshane Nugent) who started as the even money favourite in the small field of six runners.

Sir Puddington still had the advantage coming into the straight but Mamdeen brought Killer Bee alongside to get the job done by half-a-length over a persistent Sir Puddington. Kiah (Kiaman McGregor) was third.
