Burlin strikes in mid-week first race for Nunes, Halledeen

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Burlin running straight and true got the job done in the first of 11 races currently taking place at Caymanas Park on the mid-week card.
Ridden by Robert Halledeen and trained by Anthony Nunes, Burlin racing in a $450,000 - $400,000 claiming event over a mile was kept off the pace set by Jamaican Citizen (Andre Martin).
In the straight Jamaican Citizen kept moving to the stand rails while Burlin was kept straight by Halledeen to win by 1 ½ lengths.
Second went to the fast finishing Council of Trent with third the position of Vice Royalty.
Burlin owned by Ajax Bjorn was claimed from the race.
