KINGSTON, Jamaica – Big Jule got tongues wagging after a performance of significant note in the Caymanas Monday ninth.

The Ian Parsard trained, Omar Walker ridden Big Jule, a three-year-old bay colt by Tapizar – Blues In The Grass won his second race from three starts - a non-winners of three - contest travelling nine furlongs and 25 yards. This race was named in honour of former Derby winner in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, Mr Lover Lover.

From the off it was Iannai Links (Anthony Thomas) who set the fractions with Big Jule biding his time in second. In the run down the backstretch, Walker in his usual style, waited until close to the four furlong marker to pounce.

Then Big Jule truly demonstrated his class by moving away from rivals with utmost ease and while in the straight kept going as if he wanted a lot more ground.

The winning time of 1:57.4 on a slow track showed that Big Jule had seriously entered the reckoning for the Classic races to come; the 10-furlong Jamaica St Leger and the 12-furlong Jamaica Derby.

Just to mention that Prince Marshall who finished second was 18 ½ lengths behind the winner with T Brady third – 10 lengths adrift of Prince Marshall.

Big Jule closed a double on the day for Parsard.
