Apprentices dominate as Reyan Lewis strikes on Dee Danger at 5-2 in third race

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The young set of claiming apprentices are having a strong influence on the 1000 Guineas Race Day currently in progress at Caymanas Park.
Reyan Lewis, following in the footsteps of his colleague Christopher Mamdeen who won the first two races, took the third on Dee Danger for trainer Dwight Chen.
Dee Danger was always prominent in the five straight Optional Claiming (750,000 - $700,000) event, before pulling away after passing the dummy rails to claim victory by 2 ¾ lengths over Sir JhunJhun Wala with Polly B in the third slot.
Dee Danger clocked a time of 1:00.1. The win by Lewis was his 19th for the season.
