KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was only her second ride of 2020 having decided to ply her trade in North America yet apprentice Mellisa Ward made use of the opportunity to win the final race of nine on the Saturday (October 24) programme a short while ago at Caymanas Park.

Steering Armageddon down the five straight course in an Optional Claimer ($550,000 - $500,000), Ward kept her mount in touch with the leaders while taking the route on the outside.

In the final furlong Ward although under pressure from Cartel and Stanislaus kept up to her work and got the job done at telling odds of 12-1.

Cartel was second and Stanislaus third.
