Apprentice Kiaman McGregor joins anniversary winners on Sweet Destiny

KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was a might tussle involving Sweet Destiny ridden by Kiaman McGregor and Alexandra with Reyan Lewis in the saddle but in the end it was Sweet Destiny who came out the winner of the third race on the 60th anniversary card at Caymanas Park a short while ago.

Trained by Deon Facey, Sweet Destiny won at odds of 2-1 in the Optional Claiming event ($350,000 - $300,000) run over five furlongs straight. Alexandra the 2-5 odds on favourite was second with Hologram Shadow third.

This was Facey’s first winner in 2019.
