KINGSTON, Jamaica – After tasting defeat by a short head in the first, co-champion jockey and current leader Anthony Thomas rallied to win the Caymanas Saturday second on Allan at odds of 7-1 in another close finish.

Allan trained by Steven Todd, first victory came in a four-year-old and upwards maiden condition contest at 5 ½ furlongs.

When the gates opened Allan, Ultimatum (Chalrick Budhai) and Soul Treasure vied for the leadership position but after passing the three-furlong marker Allan skittered to the front.

The Todd trainee entered the straight with the lead and looking good but started to falter in the final half a furlong. It was then that both Ultimatum and Soul Treasure made up ground but Thomas this time around got Allan to last home by neck over Soul Treasure who was also a neck in front of Ultimatum.
