KINGSTON, Jamaica – Another Affair confirmed her status as one of the best three-year-olds currently in training – colts, geldings and fillies included – produced probably her best ever performance minutes ago in the seventh of 10 races at Caymanas Park.

Ridden by leading jockey Anthony Thomas who secured his second win on the day, Another Affair who finished third in the recent (Oct 31) 12-furlong Jamaica Derby, went to the front when the gates opened in the Restricted Stakes event for three-year-olds and upwards run over 7 ½ furlongs.

When navigating the half-mile turn, Another Affair was headed by her stablemate importee Awesome Treasure (Raddesh Roman). Thomas did not engage Another Affair in a contest for the lead, instead he waited and pushed the filly from the top of the straight to overtake rivals and also to withstand the persistent Oneofakind (Dane Nelson).

Another Affair showed true grit and determination to thwart all-comers for the victory by three-parts-of-a-length. Oneofakind was second and Awesome Treasure third.

The winning time posted by the Gary Subratie trainee was a fast 1:30.3. Of note the track record set by Sky Train in 1983 is 1:29.2.

Thomas was having his second winner thus far on the day to be seven wins in front of closest challenger Dane Nelson.
