KINGSTON, Jamaica – Six two-year-olds faced each other over 6 ½ furlongs on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Caymanas Park. The distance to be contested is 6 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper evaluates the chances of winning of the six starters.

1 – EAZY PEAZY is a bay colt (February 22) by Casual Trick out of Baby P trained by Richard Azan with Dane Dawkins aboard. Word from morning exercise is that this first-timer is coming along while showing signs of ability. The conclusion is that Eazy Peazy is getting on but not quite ready for a win on debut.

2 – ANONYMOUS is a bay colt (April 15) by Lion Tamer out of Eighteen Karat trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Got noticeable on debut (December 3) when finishing fourth. Anonymous has progressed since with many early morning observers giving him a winning nod.

3 – MISS MAMAS is a bay filly (April 6) by Conquest Cherimash out of Cup O Tea trained by Steven Todd with Richard Bryd aboard. Was unsettled on his first run 8 days ago. Needs to quell that behaviour to have a chance of being competitive.

4 – THE LOVE OF GOD is a chestnut filly (February 22) by Lion Tamer out of The Principal trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Javaniel Patterson aboard. The Love of God is the experience on in this line-up with five starts to date. Sunday will be another learning experience. Note, The Love of God races with the visor off and the tongue tie on.

5 – MODERN MIRACLE is a chestnut colt (January 2) by Hedge Fund out of Sound of Miracle trained by Anthony Nunes with Anthony Thomas in the saddle. This colt has finished third in his two outings to date. Modern Miracle was effective at seven furlongs, and with that run under his belt seems to be the main challenge to his stablemate. Look out for a Nunes one-two finish.

6 – DIGITAL LIGHT is a bay filly (January 14) by Wannabeaplayer out of Morning Grace trained by Gary Griffiths with Oshane Nugent aboard. Digital Light did really well when making her debut on December 11. Then, Digital Light came on strong over 4 ½ furlongs giving the impression that she will enjoy going longer. Expect a competitive run from Digital Light.
