A woman on track! Lorna Godden takes over the reins at the Park

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The announcement was sudden.
On Tuesday last (April 9, 2019), Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) made it public that Lorna Gooden, a long-time employee of the company would be mounting in the saddle as the new general manager of its subsidiary, Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Limited (SVREL).
Gooden, whose appointment becomes effective on May 1, holds a practising certificate in public accountancy, as well as a certificate in applied project management. She is also a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ).
Godden replaces former head of SVREL, Major Hugh Blake who left the company earlier this year after a short stint. Following the departure of Blake, chief financial officer at SVL, Dennis Chung took over the management of the SVREL company on a temporary basis.
Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of leading gaming company Supreme Ventures Group, is the sole horse racing promotions company in Jamaica and the largest in the Caribbean; it is located on 191 acres of Caymanas Park.
