KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Samantha Fletcher broke the dominance of colleagues Dick Cardenas and Anthony Thomas with a calculated performance in the Caymanas Saturday fourth on the Raymond Townsend trained Prince Sammo.

Fletcher’s fifth success this season came in a three-year-old and upwards claiming contest with a tag of $250,000 - $200,000 travelling 5 ½ furlongs.

Biding her time, Fletcher watched as El Maestro (Youville Pinnock) and Sharp Shirt (Dick Cardenas) fought for the lead with Mr Lyndhurst (Anthony Thomas) following the front two.

Fletcher started to move around the final bend to be in a challenging position entering the straight.

She then judiciously moved her mount to the inside rails and that was when Prince Sammo started to accelerate winning easily by 4 ½ lengths. Sharp Skirt was second and El Maestro third.
