143 lots on offer in 2019 TOBA Yearling Sale

KINGSTON, Jamaica - One hundred and forty-two lots are entered in the annual Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) Yearling Sale scheduled for Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the Official Car Park at Caymanas Park.

This number represents the most lots entered since 2015 when 158 were registered.

Top breeding farm, Orange Valley Estates Limited is returning after a six-year break to join other top breeders in the industry such as Ham Stables Limited, YS (1955) Limited, Michael Bernard, Lakeland Farms, Paradise at Spring Village, New Blue Limited, and Everglades Farms Limited, among others.

The top stallion representatives at the sales include Soul Warrior – sire of the present Triple Crown winner Supreme Soul; Storm Craft – sire of Trinidad Derby winner Juice Man; Bern Identity; Traditional; Natural Selection – sire of Triple Crown winner She’s A Maneater; Blue Pepsi Lodge; Strikewhileitshot; Liquidity; Market Rally – sire of Triple Crown winner Mark My Word, whose full brother will be up for grabs.

There will also be outstanding first-year sires such as Berlino Di Tiger, a Grade One winner and champion in Brazil, Perfect Curlin, Lion Tamer, a Grade One winner who has done exceptionally well in his racing career, and Here Comes Ben, a Grade One winner, with progeny on offer.

The TOBA sale will showcase some well-bred progeny from American stallions standing abroad such as Tapizar, Chitu and Ride on Curlin. These yearlings were produced from mares imported in utero who will take centre stage on sale day.
